It’s mid-February and I feel like I’ve lived a year and a half in a month and a half!  Sometimes life takes twists and turns that aren’t expected and we’re left figuring out how to live with the unexpected.  Finding a new normal.  Facing questions we don’t have answers to in the moment. So we wait.  And we ponder.  And we go deep for answers. This quote has been an anchor for me these last few weeks. “Sometimes to get your life back, you have to face the death of what you thought your life would look like.” January, our winter here in the South, is a great time for taking inventory of who we are, where we are, and why we are.  Giving time to focus on the statement, “I already AM who I’m meant to be.” I’ve had this renewed insurgence within my soul that I CAN make it as a female homesteader.  That WE can make it as homesteaders.  We are equipped mentally and physically.  We are creative and brave and intelligent.  We have the strength to dream big dreams and we have the capability to make them come true.  And in COMMUNITY we can “kick butt”!!! So when life’s twists and turns leave you facing a different direction, and the disappointment makes you feel like you’re drowning, embrace the comfort, strength, and acceptance of your community.  And remember, within community you have the incredible opportunity to “kick butt” and reach your wildest dreams!
