We’ve all heard of lard. Fat from a hog. And maybe some of us have a can for bacon fat under our sink…which is essentially a can of lard.  But have you ever thought about making lard an essential staple in your kitchen?

Did you know lard has less calories than butter?  Did you know it’s been used for centuries as a cooking oil?  Oh, and there’s so much more we want to share!

June 21, from 6:30 – 9p, we are going to have a Lard Workshop here at the farm.

Our special guest will be Kjesti from our Kitchen Confidence blog.  We’ll teach you how to render pig fat, store lard, and use lard in your everyday cooking.

Kjesti will teach us all how to make fabulous biscuits with lard!

Everyone attending our Lard Workshop will head home with a pound of pig fat to render in your own kitchen.

Workshop price is $30.
You may follow this link to pay online …. OR
You may mail a check to Cyndi Ball  PO Box 1190  Statham 30666…. OR
You may bring cash to class but you must let me know you’ll be joining us by emailing  cyndi@thelazybfarm.com

I can guarantee you’ll have a great time – lots of laughter and lots of biscuit taste testings!  You’ll leave for home with hands full of extra biscuits and your own lard to render.

Hope to see you there June 21!
