About CyndiWhere am I headed now??
Welcome to the Lazy B Farm!
A lot of life has happened on these 7 acres in the last 15 years and we have recently transitioned, yet again. As of May, 2018, I am officially an empty nester. Of course, I’m incredible grateful that my children don’t take that term seriosuly and they stick around for a little bit after they graduate.
I’m now a solo farmer and looking forward to the challenge of creating systems that allow me to run the farm on my own. I love this farm, the memories from raising and homescshooling our 6 children, and introducing our grandchildren to the wonders of the homesteading lifestyle.
I’m now afforded the opportunity to put heart and soul into bringing to life the dreams I’ve had for the Lazy B for years. My passions are teaching and homesteading and to have the opportunity share both of these passions from my home with you? Unbelievable!
The Lazy B Farm was established in January, 2003 and we have been hard at work ever since! We’ve added an orchard, vegetable garden, numerous outbuildings for animals, beehives, lots and lots of flower beds and so much more. We’ve had a lot of fun creating new “spaces” on our land and learning constantly how to be better stewards of the land we live on and use.
We’ve had lots of our friends come to the farm and ask if we would ever consider giving classes, or provide “field trips” so others could see our homestead. After 6 years of working on this place and the encouragement of a dear friend to “just give it a try,” we decided to open our gates to others in January of 2009 with our first Chicken Workshop at our Homestead School.
And now, with official guest rooms in the farm house, we invite you to come and spend a weekend at our “Rusticators Outpost.” Come and experience homestead living first hand!
Our greatest desire and motivation is to help others in their quest for learning – providing a “hands-on” classroom, and to offer a place of quiet respite from the craziness of life. We want young and old to leave this place feeling refreshed in spirit, rejuvenated, and perhaps inspired to make efforts to be a little more independent in their lifestyle and food choices.
We welcome you to come by and see what hard work, sweat, and a lot of prayers have accomplished here at the Lazy B Farm!
“Everyone needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to body and soul.” — John Muir
To offer a tranquil country hideaway for the refreshment of mind, body and soul; to provide a quality farm environment and classes for increased knowledge in sustainability.
