The Guineas may eat some of the pollinators but not enough to outweigh all the ticks and bad bug they eat :-) Mine are in the fields most of the time, they visit the gardens some but don't stay for long. I love our Guineas!

Love your close- up pics of bugs! I'm wanting some guineas to roam my acreage and eat ticks and snakes. Do you think they interfere with pollinators in the garden?

Hey Philip,
Good to hear from you. GReat choice to get into beekeeping!
At this point we are sold out of bees - check with bill to see if he has any extras.
If you'd like to send a deposit of $50 to PO Box 1190 Statham GA 30666, that will hold your spot for the series starting this fall.
thanks so much for contacting us!

Last week, I accompanied Bill while he tended to some hives. I realized that beekeeping is something I'm capable of enjoying and working hard at to master. I have friends who beekeep and I have another who is taking Bill's class now. I would like to sign up for the class in Novemeber. Do you prefer charge or check and how should it be made out.

Prior to the class, I want to purchase this spring a starter kit, one additional hive and begin beekeeping. One 10 acres, I have an excellent location for the hives near water and lots of surrounding forest and farmland.

I'm not sure I can learn enough to take the certification test by next June, but I'd like to shoot for that.

Hey Melissia,
I believe I had to order the colored bands. The green ones came from the feed store but i needed more colors. They weren't cheap! However, they do stay on for the most part - can't put them on till the chickens are older :-)
Hope that helps!
